Benefits of CBD which are strongly supported by science

Supplement industry is booming, but there is no science behind most of the
supplements. They are not properly tested, and the FDA is also not discouraging manufacturers
of such supplements. It’s now up to the consumer to do a little research and make their
conclusion about the effects of the supplement. CBD is no different than other supplements. But
unlike other supplements, there are few of the strong scientific evidence proving its benefits.
The strongest proof about the safety and effectiveness of the CBD is FDA approval. Last year
FDA approved the cannabis-based drug, Epidiolex in the US to treat seizures in the children. In
2017, a study was conducted on individuals with a rare form of seizures called Dravet’s. Those
individuals were having four seizures a month. Due to the use of CBD, the numbers of seizures
were reduced to half.

Studies have shown that CBD has the potential to protect nerve endings. This may be the reason
why CBD is beneficial in seizures. This nerve protection function of the CBD can be very
helpful in people with Parkinson’s and Multiple Sclerosis.
Another benefit of CBD is that it can bring relief in nausea. A study in 2015 showed that
cannabis-related drug named Sativex was successful in reducing nausea in 71% of the subjects in
the study.

CBD is also very effective in treating inflammation. A lot of diseases that we are experiencing
today is due to inflammation, such as irritable bowel syndrome, Colitis, an autoimmune disorder,
and arthritis. Inflammation is good for the body, but when in excess it damages your body. In
2016, studies proved that a high dose of CBD can remarkably reduce colon inflammation.
Another study showed that CBD can reduce gum inflammation in people with gingivitis.
